The purpose of this document is to describe areas of the National HIV and STD Testing Resources Web site that do not comply with Section 508 guidelines, workarounds currently in place for visitors that require special assistance, and a plan of action for the future.

NHTD Events Map

Users that do not have Flash enabled are unable to retrieve information about upcoming events from the events map.
Current Solution Workaround: Users requiring specialized assistance can contact an NPIN Information Specialist.
Remediation Plan: Provide a link to a text-based version of the events map.

Search Results Pagination Links

Users that do not have javascript enabled cannot browse the results using the pagination links.
Current Solution Workaround: A noscript message is displayed instructing users to contact an NPIN Information Specialist for assistance.
Remediation Plan: Future upgrades to the search pagination feature will not rely on javascript.

All new content added to the National HIV and STD Testing Resources Web site is developed to comply with Section 508 guidelines. In addition, the site is re-evaluated periodically to ensure compliance standards are met. Users requiring specialized assistance can contact info@cdcnpin.org to request information in an alternative format.
